How does dna replicate?
In order for a cell to divide a new set of DNA must be made for each of the new cells. The model that Watson and Crick had constructed showed in order to copy DNA template mechanism had to be involved. template mechanism works as a negative, a cell uses the opposite of the DNA to create more DNA. In the process of DNA replication the DNA (double helix) strands first split. Each strand then uses template mechanisms to create a pairing(complementary) strand, enzymes called DNA polymerases make a covelant bond and link the nucleotides together and for two new DNA strands.
